Accessing online content

Although more and more online content is offered for free in open access, many e-journals, e-books and databases have to be paid for. Here we describe how you can consult these paid sources as a student or employee of Erasmus MC and EUR.

On-campus access

Via PCs within the physical computer network of the buildings of Erasmus MC and EUR.

Off-campus access

Via My Erasmus MC Workstation (MijnWerkplek), only for Erasmus MC employees. Log in using your microsectienummer and Erasmus MC password.

Via proxyserver  (for students and employeers). Log in with your ERNA account.

Via the website of the University Library. When searching for scholarly information from home via sEURchDatabases A-Z or Guides by discipline, you only have to log in with your ERNA-account when prompted. No special settings or software are required.

Via Google Scholar. Are you searching for scholarly information in Google Scholar? You may hit upon a link that is not enabled off-campus. You may receive a warning that your IP address is unknown, a vendor’s login screen may appear, or payment is required.

Often, you can enable off-campus access by setting up Library Links in your Google Scholar settings. You will immediately see if you have access through the FULL TEXT @ EUR link behind a publication.
